According to the books, 'Outlander' season 7's second half may

The good news for fans of "Outlander" is that 2024 is finally here.

It has been revealed that the second half of the seventh season of the epic time travel drama will show later this year, with the first half having aired last year.

It's exciting to think that viewers may only have to wait a few weeks or months to catch up with Jamie (Sam Heughan), the Scottish warrior.

And his time-traveling wife Claire (Caitríona Balfe), who viewers saw return to Scotland in the midseason finale.

Regarding the remaining episodes of season seven, it has been announced that they would chronicle the events in Diana Gabaldon's seventh and eighth "Outlander" novels.

The sixth season of the Starz drama, which was curtailed due to COVID-19, will result in season seven spanning three novels, when prior seasons only adapted one book.

The first eight episodes of "Outlander" focused on events from the sixth book, "A Breath of Snow and Ashes," and part of the seventh book, "An Echo in the Bone."

Executive producer Maril Davis stated earlier this year in an interview with Business Insider that the second half of season seven will conclude with the events of "An Echo in the Bone" before diving headfirst into the eighth book's action, "Written in My Own Heart's Blood."
