Apple Ginger Green Smoothie


– 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (any variety you prefer) – 1 cup fresh spinach leave – 1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled (about 1 inch)


– 1 ripe banana, peeled – 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice) – 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness) – Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)

Wash the apple and spinach leaves thoroughly under cold water. 

 Core the apple and chop it into smaller chunks.  Peel the ginger and cut it into smaller pieces for easier blending.

In a blender, combine the chopped apple, spinach leaves, peeled ginger, banana, almond milk, and honey or maple syrup (if using). 

Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency. 

Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup if necessary. 

If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend until they're crushed and well incorporated. 

Once the smoothie reaches your desired consistency and taste, pour it into glasses and serve immediately. 

Optionally, you can garnish with a slice of apple or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for added flavor and presentation.
