CAS Awards: ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘The Last of Us,’ ‘The Bear’ Among Winner

The Cinema Audio Society Awards were held on Saturday, and this year's winners were Oppenheimer, The Last of Us, and The Bear.

Among the live-action entries, the Oppenheimer sound design team triumphed, defeating Barbie, Ferrari, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Maestro.

Award winners in the television categories included The Last of Us for best one-hour series and The Bear for best half-hour series

both presented by the Cinema Audio Society, which recognizes exceptional sound mixing in film and television

Cas gave Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse the prize for best animated film.

In addition to Elemental, the teams behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, The Boy and the Heron, and The Super Mario Bros

Movie were also nominated. In the feature documentary category, 32 Sounds triumphed over American Symphony, Little Richard: 

 I Am Everything, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, and Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour to claim the prize
