Cassadee Pope said ‘The Voice’ producers sought to orchestrate a ‘weird’ reunion with her father.

Aside from a single "strange" encounter with producers behind the scenes, Cassadee Pope had a "really good" experience on The Voice...

During Monday, August 7, episode of the podcast "Hold My Hair?", the 33-year-old, who won season 3 of the NBC singing competition in 2012, commented on her time as a member of coach Blake Shelton's team.

Pope raved about the production, saying, "They treat their artists so well."

She also suggested that the fact that Pope had been Hey Monday's lead vocalist in the past may have helped her not "crumble" on the TV show.

Pope needed the support of those around her the entire competition.

Regarding PAs and other employees who appeared to be "trained to be counselors," she remarked, "Someone was always there to have a pep talk and it always helped."

Pope has heard that certain singing competitions may be "really brutal" for contestants; nevertheless, the Voice staff puts the artists' needs ahead of any external turmoil.

"It's not a reality show; it's a reality singing competition show." They don't want to turn someone into a show, the woman remarked.
