Cleansing Apple Avocado Smoothie

Ingredients: 

– 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (any variety you prefer) – 1/2 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted – 1 cup fresh spinach leave – 1/2 cup cucumber, chopped

Ingredients: 

– 1/2 cup coconut water (or plain water) – Juice of 1/2 lemon – 1 tablespoon fresh mint leave – Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds for added fiber and omega-3 fatty acid

Wash apple, spinach, cucumber, and mint leaves well in cold water. Core and dice the apple. Peel and pit avocado. 

In a blender, combine the chopped apple, avocado, spinach leaves, cucumber, coconut water (or plain water), lemon juice, and fresh mint leaves. 

In a blender, combine the chopped apple, spinach leaves, peeled ginger, banana, almond milk, and honey or maple syrup (if using). 

Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more coconut water or water to reach your desired consistency.

Taste the smoothie and adjust the flavor by adding more lemon juice if necessary. 

If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend until they're crushed and well incorporated. 

Once the smoothie reaches your desired consistency and taste, pour it into glasses and serve immediately. 

Optionally, you can garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of cucumber for added freshness and presentation.
