Cottage Cheese Smoothie

This cottage cheese smoothie is rich, creamy, and tastes like dessert. Plus, it has nearly 17 grams of protein. No need for protein powder!

Cottage cheese is having a moment, and I am here for it! I recently posted viral cottage cheese ice cream, frozen cottage cheese bark, and now this cottage cheese smoothie!

In this smoothie, we combine cottage cheese, frozen raspberries, bananas, almond milk, and a touch of honey. 

also tastes like cheesecake in a smoothie, but also has over 17 grams of protein, making it an ideal post-workout snack or quick on-the-go breakfast.

Almond milk serves as the liquid base for this smoothie. I like to use unsweetened vanilla almond milk since it offers a hint of vanilla flavor without adding any sugar.

 If you only have plain almond milk, you can add a splash of vanilla extract to give it a little of flavor.

The important ingredient in this recipe is cottage cheese, which has a creamy texture and a rich flavor while also delivering plenty of protein. I used full-fat Good Culture cottage cheese, but low-fat will suffice as well. However, the full fat version will be creamier!

Frozen banana - this makes the smoothie extra thick and creamy while also adding some natural sweetness.
