Is this cornerback the Rams' underappreciated day two prospect?

The Los Angeles Rams have spent six draft picks on defensive backs over the last three years

Chris Shula begins his first season as defensive coordinator in 2024. Part of the reason for this is simple: the Rams have drafted four cornerbacks and two safeties, but none of them were selected before Day 3.

Robert Rochell, the team's fourth-round pick and the highest-drafted player, has already left.

Cobie Durant and Derion Kendrick, the fourth and sixth round picks in 2022, have yet to prove worthy of starting roles next season.

Tre Tomlinson, a sixth-round pick in 2023, may have a ceiling in a specialised role due to his 5'9, 180-pound size, which won't match up with DK Metcalf or Deebo Samuel.

Even if the Rams re-sign Ahkello Witherspoon, he is not a long-term option, has a low upside, and a lengthy injury history.

Anyone they can sign in free agency will have limitations and reasons for their availability.

Los Angeles can "get through" next year at cornerback, but will they make a major move like they did with Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, and Jalen Ramsey
