Jennifer Lopez recalls the exact moment she 'hit rock bottom'

Jennifer Lopez openly opens up about her journey through difficult and violent relationships in her highly personal new documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, during a time when she felt at her lowest.

Jennifer, 54, married to Ben Affleck, 51, reflects on previous interactions in which declarations of love were mismatched with deeds, causing a profound understanding about self-worth and the confidence to demand better.

"There were people in my life who said 'I love you' and then didn't do things that were kind of in line with the word love," she says, underlining the disconnect between words and deeds in her experiences.

"You have to hit rock bottom where you're in situations so uncomfortable and so painful that you finally go, 'I don't want this anymore,'" Jennifer revealed, without naming the people involved.

Her story is about gaining clarity from uncertainty, likening her battle to escape abusive situations to navigating through fog.

It wasn't until a therapist asked her to think about how she would counsel her daughter in a similar situation that her route became clear: "It was so simple.

I'd encourage her to leave and never look back, but it was too murky and confusing for me."

Jennifer, who has twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony and was previously married to Ojani Noa and Cris Judd, has also been romantically linked with Diddy, Alex Rodriguez, and Casper Smart.
