A Ukrainian kill streak against Russian fighter planes appears to have prompted Russia's air force to reduce flying frequency, according to a think group.  

According to Ukrainian sources, Ukraine was able to shoot down 15 Russian combat planes in just two weeks.  

The Institute for the Study of War, a US research tank, stated on Sunday  

that "relatively high Russian aviation losses appear to be prompting a significant decrease in Russian aviation activity in eastern Ukraine."
