‘Stranger Things’ Star Officially Quits Popular Franchise, Will Not Return

Excitement is building for the next series of Netflix's smash hit Stranger Things. Season 1 of the popular science-fiction meets horror television show was released in 2016  

and fans have been entertained ever since. Along with Wednesday and Bridgerton, Stranger Things is one of the most potent forces in TV streaming history.

And the drama series' fifth and last season will include an 80s actor who is done with one great property.

Stranger Things is one of Netflix's top series. The first volume of the most recent season received 278 billion views in its first week on the streaming service in May 2022. 

The second book arrived in July 2022. Due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the Duffer Brothers' mega hit will not return in 2024 (nor will Tim Burton's Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega), 

Stranger Things has received critical acclaim for its classic horror influences, 80s setting, characterization, and thrilling score, as well as for its stellar cast, which includes Millie Bobby Brown   

Eleven/Jane (another actress is said to be playing Eleven in the new season), David Harbour as Jim Hopper, and Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers

Season 4 saw 80s singer Kate Bush's anthem "Running Up That Hill" reach the top of the UK charts and third on the Billboard Hot 100 37 years after its initial release.
