The family of twin boys from Oakland celebrates their leap year with much joy.

Due of its significance, the Oakland Erickson family celebrates Feb. 29 every four years with joy and thankfulness.

Twin boys were born 11 minutes apart, one in the final minutes of Feb. 28, 2016, and the other in the opening minutes of Leap Day.

Mornings are chaos as you might imagine with three boys," remarked Miles' mother, Summer Erickson, on his birthday.

It was typical of their household. "You know, begging them to eat breakfast before school,

reminding them to brush their teeth and get dressed about 10 to 12 times."

Twins and elder brother Bruce adore playing hoops in the kitchen in the morning while their parents try to keep them on track

The twins often bounce on the trampoline in the backyard for as long as they can due to their excitement.

Miles, born at 11:58 p.m. on Feb. 28, said, "We get dressed, we play, play with our dog, and we eat breakfast.
