The Fraser and McKenzie Clans Get More New Faces in "Blood of My Blood," the prequel to "Outlander"  

The Outlander prequel series, "Blood of My Blood," filming in Scotland, adds new cast members to portray characters like young Murtagh and Dougal MacKenzie. 

Rory Alexander joins as young Murtagh, while Sam Retford takes on Dougal MacKenzie's role. 

Séamus McLean Ross portrays Colum MacKenzie, and Conor MacNeill plays Ned Gowan. 

Showrunner Matthew B. Roberts expresses excitement about expanding the cast with familiar Outlander characters. 

Previously announced cast members include Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, and Tony Curran. 

The series will explore the love story of Jamie's parents and the relationship of Claire's parents, set in different time periods. 

The story delves into the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and WWI England. 

Based on Diana Gabaldon's bestselling books, the series promises to delve into the origins of beloved characters.
