Why Do Bridgerton Fans Hate Season 2? Several Reasons

The primary element of the show, romance, was absent from the second installment.

Bridgerton has been one of Netflix's most watched series since it debuted in 2020.

Produced by Shondaland and based on Julian Quinn's series of novels of the same name, the period drama has captured audiences' attention with its updated portrayal of aristocratic life in eighteenth-century England.

However, it appears that audiences don't feel the same way about the show's two seasons.

Fans of the show prefer Season 1 over Season 2, which continued the romance between Anthony and Kate. Season 1 concentrated on the love story between Daphne and Simon.

Season 1 had an astounding 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to only 77% for Season 2.

Although the ratings indicate that the show is still quite popular with viewers, many Bridgerton fans appear to detest the second season, and here's why.

Season 2 of Bridgerton was planned to center on the love story of Anthony and Kate, as we just discussed.
